1446275 Seals FORD MOTOR CO Ltd 29 July 1974 [9 Aug 1973] 33364/74 Heading F2B A lip seal 1 is protected during transit storage and installation by a ring 13 having a diaphragmsupporting surface 14, an extension 15 and a flange 17. The ring 13 may be made of plastics material and when the seal 1 has been pressed home, by means of an assembly tool 8, it may be withdrawn from shaft 10 and discarded.
