Abstract

1455326 Shaft seals SIMMERWERKE W SIMMER KG 1 April 1974 [2 April 1973] 14398/74 Heading F2B A seal for a shaft 5 having a collar 7 has, in succession along its length, a first sealing lip 3 contacting the shaft radially, a second dust lip 4 axially spaced from the lip 3 and a third lip 6 in axial contact with the radial surface of the collar. The lip 6 diverges from the shaft 5 and is joined to the axial portion 2 of the seal by a resilient transition 8 to reduce axial forces.
