1446219 Oils of reduced pour point GULF RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT CO 13 Nov 1973 [21 Nov 1972] 52699/73 Headings C5F and C5G Oils of reduced pour-point comprise a major amount of a mineral lubricating oil, automatic transmission oil or No. 2 fuel oil and a minor amount of a linear α-olefin copolymer prepared from a mixture of 60-95 mole per cent 1-hexene and 5-40 mole per cent 1-octadecene, the number of monomer units in the copolymer being at least 50 and the amount of copolymer used being 0À025 (Mo/84) to 0À4 (Mo/84) wt. per cent where Mo is the average molecular weight of the 1-hexane and 1-octadecene in the monomer mixture.
