Abstract

1444379 Conveying sheet material ROLAND OFFSETMASCHINENFABRIK FABER & SCHLIECHER AG 20 Sept 1973 [20 Sept 1972] 44242/73 Headings B8A and B8R The endless gripper chains 1 of an offset printing machine carry covering plates 2 and 3 which are articulated to the bolts 10 and 11 and the bearing bushes 5 of the chains and are positioned between the chains and the gripper carrages 8. The chains are arranged in guides 9 and 12 which are fastened on both sides of the machine frame 14. The individual plates overlap in areas 13 to provide a continuous protection against the contamination of the conveyed sheets with lubricant from the chains and contamination of the chains with powder which has been dusted on the sheets.
