Abstract

1444124 Rotary conveyors ELCALOR A.G. 17 Sept 1973 [18 Sept 1972] 43573/73 Heading B8A [Also in Divisions G1 and F2] A device for pressure testing a series of bottles comprises a rotary turret 9 having a plurality of testing heads 21 rotating therewith. Each testing head 21 is reciprocated into and out of engagement with a bottle 22 standing on a support base 13 of the turret by means of cam rails 25 mounted on a non-rotatable drum 26 and engaging cam follower wheels 24. Each sealing head carries a screen 23 for enclosing a bottle during testing, and a brush 14 is provided below each sealing head. Broken or defective bottles are rejected by deflector 37.
