Abstract

The applicator comprises a base located in the bottle filling line. It carries a drum (10) above it rotating about a vertical axis (12). This drum carries heads (24, 26) which apply the seal to the bottle (14, 16), cork or cap. The applicator base has a table (18) rotating in unison with the drum, the bottles arriving in multiple lines. Each station has a corresponding head. These heads are supplied with seals from magazines (28), mounted over the drum and feeding the seals down chutes (32) and individually into eac head. The guide ramp for the seals passes from one side of the centre of the drum.
