Abstract

1443675 Electron beams magnetic deflecting apparatus MITSUBISHI DENKI KK 18 Sept 1974 40754/74 Heading H1D To allow angular and axial adjustment of magnetic deflection yoke 2 relative to the neck 1b of colour TV tube 1 having three in-line guns, the rear end 2a of the yoke 2 fits resiliently and slidably on the tube neck 1b, while the forward end is made adjustable angularly and longitudinally by attachment to members 5 and 4 which couple the yoke 2 to ring 3, bonded by its conical flange 3a to the cone 1a of the tube 1. Member 4 has a cylindrical surface 4a mating with the cylindrical surface 3b of ring 3, member 4 also has a part-spherical surface 4b mating with similar surface 5a on member 5, which is attached to the forward end of yoke 2 by screws through holes 5d in the cylindrical portion 5b. When the spherical surfaces are mated, their common centre lies at the centre of the rear flange 2a of yoke 2. Elongated holes 3c in cylindrical part 3b, and elliptical holes 4d in spherical part 4b allow screws 6a and 7a to be fitted in corresponding holes 4c in part 4a and 5c in part 5a respectively, to provide for lockable adjustment. The enlarged and tight holes on each of the pairs of components may be interchanged.
