Abstract

1442616 Washing machines INDUSTRIE A ZANUSSI SpA 26 July 1973 [29 July 1972] 35623/73 Addition to 1285149 Heading D1A To reduce greying of fabrics when washing them in a jet type washing machine as claimed in claim 1 of Specification 1285149 an aqueous solution is used in which the water has a hardness not exceeding 2 French degrees and preferably of less than 0.5 French degrees. A French degree is equal to 10 mgms CaCO 3 per litre. A synthetic detergent is used for washing which is followed by rinsing with water of the same or greater hardness of up to 15 French degrees to facilitate removal of suds and may be preceded by a pre washing step at the same hardness as the washing step.
