1441697 Rotary positive-displacement fluidmachines FORD MOTOR CO Ltd 29 Nov 1974 [3 Dec 1973] 51922/74 Heading F1F A Wankel-type I.C. engine has rotors 58, 60 on a common output shaft-assembly 40 and furnished with internally-toothed gears 66 that mesh with end portions 76, 78 of a fixed common pinion 70. The centre portion of the pinion may engage with internal teeth formed in a bore 74 within a housing- assembly section 18 so as to prevent it rotating. The shaft-assembly may include sections 46, 50 with mutually-engaging teeth 54 and held together by a bolt 56.
