Abstract

1440887 Casings for dynamo-electric machines HANNING ELEKTRO - WERKE ROBERT HANNING 21 Aug 1974 [23 Aug 1973] 36745/74 Heading H2A An electric motor, in which a rotor 2 is mounted radially within a stator 1, has two bearing brackets 5, 6 engaging opposite axial ends of the stator, the two brackets having associated recesses 8 in which metal strips 9 are retained by deformation of the strips. The strips 9 are curved and are deformed to a flat shape by inward bending of projections 7 defining the recesses 8. The deformation of the strips takes place with the motor held in a clamp so that the strips are in tension when the motor is removed from the clamp.
