Abstract
1440793 Zeroizing counters MASSINDUSTRIE WERDAU VEB 9 Oct 1973 [13 Oct 1972] 46964/73 Heading G4D The transfer pinions 12 of a counter are shifted axially along their fixed shaft 9 to disengage the number wheels 1 during zeroizing. The pinions 12 remain coupled to the lower order wheels 1 when in the disengaged position (Fig. 6) so that they are prevented from freely rotating during zeroizing. Zeroizing is performed by a slide 4 (Fig. 2, not shown) camming a blade 7 to move the pinions and then acting through heart shaped cams (not shown) and the wheels 1. The slide may be driven by an electromagnet.
