1440235 Diazocine derivatives E R SQUIBB & SONS Inc 27 June 1973 [14 July 1972] 30548/73 Heading C2C The invention comprises compounds of the general Formula I wherein X is hydrogen, halogen, C 1 to C 8 alkyl, C 1 to C 8 alkoxy, haloalkyl, cyano, carbo-C 1 to C 8 alkoxy or N,N-di-C 1 to C 8 alkyl sulphamido; Y is hydrogen, halogen, haloalkyl, cyano, isocyano, carbo-C 1 to C 8 alkoxy or N,N-di-C 1 to C 8 alkylsulphonamido ; Z is hydrogen, halogen, trifluoromethyl, carbo C 1 to C 8 alkoxy, cyano, isocyano, C 1 to C 8 alkyl, C 1 to C 8 alkoxy, N,N-di- C 1 to C 8 alkylsulphamido or C 1 to C 8 alkyl mercapto, L is a straight, branched or cyclic saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon group having from one to eight carbon atoms, n, n<SP>1</SP> and n<SP>2</SP> are, one or two and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof. The compounds of Formula I may be prepared by reacting a compound of formula with a compound of formula wherein X, Y, Z, L, n, n<SP>1</SP> and n<SP>2</SP> are as above and M is a leaving group, in an organic solvent in the presence of a base.
