1440187 Bulk storage tanks MOTHERWELL BRIDGE ENG Ltd 8 Aug 1973 [9 Aug 1972] 37189/72 Heading E1T A bulk storage tank 2 for petroleum products is disposed within a containment tank 3 provided with a roof 4; the storage tank and the containment tank being formed with vents Which ensure that the air pressures within the said tanks are maintained at substantially ambient pressure. The tank 2 may have a floating roof or blanket cover 18 and be provided with a flout alarm 10 and an overflow 11. The tank 3 may have cooling water distributors 8, foam distributors 9, a vent 17, manhole 16 and deflector plates 8A. The tanks 2, 3 are mounted on a common ring wall 7 enclosing a pad 1 having drain lines leading to monitoring sumps for details of which Fig. 2, (not shown), should be referred to. For numerous minor details concerning valves, monitoring, drainings, pad, alarms, access means &c the Specification and Fig. 1, (not shown) accompanying the Provisional Specification should be referred to.
