Abstract

1439433 Containers; load handling pallet SVEIN STROMBERG & CO AS 5 Feb 1974 [6 Feb 1973] 05328/74 Headings B8P and B8H A plastics container 1 has a lower part 2 which increases the rigidity and has openings 10 for the tines of a fork-lift truck. The inside surface of the container is smooth to assist washing. Rib formations 11, 12 on the mating surfaces ensure that the parts 1 and 2 are in register and prevent movement of one part relative to the other part. Hollow frames 3 and beams 6 stiffen the container and spigots 13 and sockets 14 strengthen the corners. Bolts may be used to secure the container to the lower part 2. The ribs and grooves are deeper at their mid points (as shown on the underside of part 1) and may alternatively lie transversely of the base or diagonally thereof or in the form of concentric rectangles or an oval pattern.
