Abstract

1486185 Boxes B DIXON-BATE Ltd 10 Oct 1974 [12 July 1973] 33283/73 Heading B8P [Also in Division B7] A handling truck of the type comprising a platform or pallet mounted on rollers and upstanding side members is provided at one or more sides with a horizontally extending rotatable rod 15 having a finger member 16 which is releasably engageable with an aperture 12 in a fixed rack 11 or with a similar truck. The rack 11 may be mounted in a vehicle body or container and is used to secure the truck during transport. The rod has an operating handle 17 carrying a member 18 which engages an eyelet 19 on the truck frame when the rod is rotated to lock the finger in the aperture. An aperture (21) (Fig. 4, not shown) may be provided in the handle 17 to allow interlocking of the trucks. The finger 16 may be provided intermediate the ends of the rod and will then be in the form of a hook for engaging an adjacent container.
