Abstract

1439394 Frame for fire-proof doors E I E SCHUBEIS 1 Nov 1973 50861/73 Heading E1J A door frame, especially for fire-proof doors, comprises two substantially L-section frame members 3 and 4. The legs 3a and 4a engage the wall surfaces 5 and 6, the other legs 3b and 4b overlap each other within the door opening. The frame members are interconnected by means of rotatable threaded bolts 9 engaged in threaded holes in rods 8. The edges of the legs 3a and 4a may be bent inwardly as shown. A curved bar 12a (dotdash lines) may be attached to the rod 8 and with a bifurcated end 14 abutting a shoulder 15 may form an arch 12 (solid lines) against the wall 2 when mounted. The shoulder 15 may be a lock-nut on the bolt 9. An abutment 7 for a door leaf may be provided.
