Abstract

1438344 Remote control MITSUBISHI DENKI KK 9 Aug 1973 [9 Aug 1972 (2)] 37834/73 Heading G4H [Also in Divisions H2 and H4] First and second frequencies transmitted over power lines are sensed by coils 5, 6 to control a motor M operating a switch 12 to connect and disconnect respectively a load, e.g. a water heater, across terminals 1L, 2L. A circuit 1, 2 tuned to a frequency between the control frequencies establishes a magnetic field in the vicinity of resonators 3, 4 tuned to respective control frequencies. Coil 5 responds to the ON frequency to fire thyristor 7 allowing members 7, 9 to pass A.C. to the motor M which rotates cams (Figs. 3, 4, not shown) to change over switch contact 12a to complete the circuit to load terminal 1L and remove coil 5 from circuit, thereby extinguishing the thyristor and stopping the motor. In this condition coil 6 may respond to the OFF frequency to revert to the original condition. A self-holding switch for the motor may also be operated by the cam-shaft. A plurality of such receivers may be operated in sequence by adjusting the cams for the self-holding switches.
