Abstract

1438019 Slidable vehicle roofs W F COENEN 17 Sept 1973 43548/73 Heading B7B An openable vehicle roof comprises a slidable panel 1 and means to push the panel upwardly on reaching the closed position. The means comprise a roller 3 adapted to move under a guide flange 8 at each side of the panel 1 and having a forwardly and upwardly inclined portion 8a. The rollers are carried by brackets 2 fixed at the corners to the panel 1. The rear part of panel 1 is urged upwardly by two springs 4 having legs 5 and 6 joined by a helical portion. The legs 6 carry rollers 7 which engage a guide rail 10.
