1437865 Styrene/maleic acid or anhydride copolymers FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 29 April 1974 [27 April 1973] 18774/74 Heading C3P [Also in Division G2] Copolymers of styrene and maleic anhydride or maleic acid are made by solution polymerizing styrene with maleic anhydride using azobisisobutyronitrile to give a polymer containing 48À7 mol per cent of styrene, or by solution polymerizing styrene with maleic acid using benzoyl peroxide as initiator to obtain polymers having 57 mol per cent and 47À5 mol per cent of styrene respectively.
