Abstract

1437798 Making C.R.T. storage targets TEKTRONIX Inc 18 July 1973 [3 Aug 1972] 34142/73 Heading B3A [Also in Divisions C7 and H1] A C.R.T. storage target comprises a dielectric with random cracks which may be formed on a regular or irregular mesh. The mesh may be formed by depositing a 1000-2000 Š Cr layer 54 through cracks 38 of a target electrophoretically formed (see Division C7), removing domains 36, exposing adjacent photo-film (56) (Fig. 8, not shown) through the base, developing the film and placing on an electroforming mandrel with a positive resist, exposing, processing, deposition Ni in to the voids in the resist by plating, and dissolving the resist. The free mesh is Cr coated (1000Š) on both sides, and dielectric 36 (Fig. 10) deposited electrophoretically (Figs. 4-6, not shown).
