Abstract

1437333 Coil formers PLESSEY CO Ltd 21 Aug 1973 [3 Aug 1972] 36400/72 Heading B8M A coil bobbin comprises a resiliently flexible plastics body having integral end cheeks 2 and 3, one of which is provided with lugs 5, 6, 7 and 8 which, when the bobbin is accommodated in a pot core, take up any free play between the ends of the bobbin and the core in the axial direction of the bobbin. The lugs 5, 6, 7 and 8, are formed by moulding with the end cheeks, and when unstressed, project axially beyond the outer surface of the remainder of the cheek, and can be resiliently deflected from this position towards the other cheek without penetrating through the inner surface of the remainder of the cheek.
