Abstract

1437314 Antistatic polymer-compositions BTR INDUSTRIES Ltd 13 Nov 1974 [25 Jan 1974] 03517/74 Headings C3P C3R and C3B A composition, curable to form an antistatic plastics material, comprises a curable resin having dispersed therein from 0À1 to 0À5 wt. per cent of the resinous composition, of carbon fibres. The resin is preferably thermosetting and examples of suitable resins are (a) unsaturated polyesters mixed with a monomer such as styrene (b) epoxy resins, (c) curable phenolics and (d) curable acrylics. The carbon fibres preferably have a length of about 4 mm.
