Abstract

1435739 Pneumatic conveyers STORK AMSTERDAM BV 31 Aug 1973 [1 Sept 1972] 41147/73 Heading B8A A conveyer pipe feeds articles from a receptacle to one of a plurality of cyclones, each cyclone having an outlet, individual suction pipes connecting each cyclone to a vacuum suction device. The figure shows a plant for slaughtered poultry. At treatment stations 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, various parts of the birds are detached, the birds being conveyed along path 1 or 2. The detached parts are conveyed by suction to cyclones discharging to a common collecting tank 24 if the parts are not regarded as edible, or to cyclones discharging to separate chillers 25, 26, 27 if the parts are edible. The chilled parts are discharged to receptacles 33 and conveyed by suction to cyclones discharging to packing stations 28, 29, 30. Suction device 20 provides suction for all lines.
