Abstract

1434446 Foundation piles; boring earth &c H STADE 25 June 1974 [20 March 1974] 28138/74 Headings E1F and E1H A precast concrete pile 1 having a continuous longitudinal passage 2 has a drilling bit 5 rotatably mounted in bearing 13 at the bottom of the pile. The drilling bit has a coupling 14 for drill pipe 16 which passes through the passage and at the top end of the pile there is a connection 20 for a suspension 18 on the drive head 8 of the drilling bit which prevents rotation of the pile. The drilling bit of the embodiment described has extensible cutters 6, 6a and the drill pipe is connected to a flushing facility 9.
