Abstract
1433992 Cameras FRANKE & HEIDECKE GmbH [trading as ROLLEI-WERKE FRANKE & HEIDECKE] 28 March 1974 [12 April 1973] 13900/74 Heading G2A A camera diaphragm is either set automatically according to prevailing illumination or is pre-set manually, the value in each case being indicated to the user. As shown, for automatic operation a setting ring 7 is adjusted to align a mark 8 with letter A on a fixed scale ring 2. A pin 9, Fig. 1b on ring 7 opens a switch 14 whereby a bridge circuit (not shown) rotates a ring 6 to set the diaphragm according to prevailing illumination. A projection 10, Fig. la on ring 7 moves,a push-rod 11 so that a mask 12 moves away from an opening 4 and a pointer 5 connected to ring 6 is visible to indicate the value set. For manual operation, ring 7 is adjusted to align mark 8 (and consequently pin 9) with the required value on ring 2. Movement of projection 10 causes mask 12 to cover spring 4 and hide pointer 5 to avoid confusion. Movement of pin 9 allows switch 14 to close so that the bridge circuit can move ring 6 until pointer 5 abuts pin 9, the diaphragm value indicated by mark 8 thereby being set.
