Abstract

1433476 Water storage and heating installations DUNCAN JOHNSTON Ltd 14 May 1973 [10 May 1972] 21741/72 Heading E1T [Also in Division F4] A service installation involving a water storage tank 1 and a water heating tank 5 mounted in a common framework 4 has the outlet from the tank 1 connected to the inlet to the tank 5 by a conduit 13 having two right angle bends separated by a flow control valve 18 whereby compression joints between the connections can be readily broken to facilitate repairs. The tank 1 is also provided with an overflow 8 connected by a T-connection 9 to a valve-controlled drainage pipe 10, 12. The tank 1 is made of fibre glass or ,galvanised mild steel and the tank 5 is provided with a polyurethane jacket 6. In a modification, see Figs. 8-10, (not shown), the tank 5 is disposed about a horizontal axis and the tank 1 is secured to the framework by straps.
