Abstract

1432752 Halophenoxy-benzamides MOBIL OIL CORP 12 Feb 1974 [22 Feb 1973 12 Sept 1973] 06397/74 Addition to 1232368 Heading C2C The invention comprises compounds having the general formula wherein each X, which may be the same or different, is halogen; n is an integer of from 1 to 5, and R is mono- or di-alkylamino in which each alkyl has 4 to 6 carbon atoms. They may be prepared by reacting the corresponding 2-nitro-5-halophenoxy benzoyl chloride with the appropriate amine. The compounds of the invention may be used as herbicides.
