1432595 Titanium aluminium chlorides CHEMISCHE WERKE HULS AG 22 Aug 1973 [23 Aug 1972 (2)] 39755/73 Heading C1A [Also in Division C3] The compounds TiCl 3 .0-5AlCl 3 , and TiCl 3 . 0À35AlCl 3 are made by reaction between TiCl 4 and ethylaluminium sesquichloride or aluminium triethyl (Example 8a) in hexane solution. In two of the examples the product is actually TiCl 3 .0À54AlCl 3 and TiCl 3 .0À56AlCl 3 . The compounds are used as components of catalysts for addition polymerization reactions.
