Abstract
1432542 Container traffic container T HOWE 4 June 1973 [8 June 1972 11 Nov 1972] 26680/72 and 52185/72 Heading B8Q A container comprises a flat rectangular base structure with side members 10 and a post 16 at each corner pivotable from the folded position shown to an upright position by the mounting means of a bolt 22 carried by a plate 14 of the corner assemblies received in a bore 18 of the post 16. A latch bolt is provided to hold the post in its upright position by engagement in further bores in the post and plate 14. To assist the raising of the post resilient means such as a spring 33 attached between an anchor plate 32 of the post 16 and pin 34 on the plate 14 is more stressed in the folded position relative to the upright position. In a modification the spring is in the form of a helical torsion spring.
