Abstract
1432474 Discharging carriers of endless conveyers SPEAKER MOTION SYSTEMS Inc 9 April 1973 [10 April 1972] 16944/73 Heading B8A Carriers 1 of an endless conveyer have load carriers 9, 10, which may be selectively discharged by the action of a tripping member 28 pivotally mounted on the conveyer frame at the desired discharge station, when the member 28 is in a set position. When it is in this position it is held from movement away from the set position until a member 46 is lifted by the action of a ramp 33 carried at the downstream end of the carrier 1. Until the member 28 is moved to its set position by operation of a control unit (6) (Fig. 1, not shown) the members 28 and 46 are retracted (Fig. 5). This operation causes energization of a solenoid 29 against the action of a spring 42. A forked member 30, rigid with the member 28, deflects a roller 41 carried on a crank, rigid with a crank 32 which carries the member 46. The roller 41 now obstructs the movement of a portion 31 of the forked member 30 until the member 46 is lifted by the action of the ramp 33. The member 46 is a roller, but in a modification (Figs. 7 and 8, not shown) this is replaced by a pin-shaped lever (64).
