Abstract

1432163 Deodorant composition CIBAGEIGY AG 11 July 1973 [12 July 1972] 33078/73 Heading ASE A solid air-conditioning preparation of stable shape, comprises: (a) from 30 to 90% of carrier material consisting essentially of paraffin and a gellifying amount of gel-forming agent selected from pyrogenic silica, a gellifying metal soap such as aluminium stearate, an organic hydrophobic bentonite derivative and a gellifying polymer resin having a melting range of about 60 to 190‹C, (b) from 5 to 70% of a malodor-destroying substance having a vapour pressure at 25‹C in the range of from 0.001 to 3.5 Torr and being selected from aliphatic, cycloaliphatic and araliphatic olefinically unsaturated esters, olefinically unsaturated alcohols, aldehydes and mixtures of at least two of said substances compatible with one another; and (c) 0 to 65% of a non-odor destroying reodorant having a vapour pressure at 25‹C in the range of from 0.001 to 5 Torr and being compatible with component (b), wherein the total quantity of (b) and (c) incorporated in gel (a) is such as to be homogeneously dispersed therein; all percentages being based on the total weight of (a) to (c) inclusive.
