Abstract

1431709 Bile acid salts and complexes with lysozyme and its derivatives SPA SOC PRODOTTI ANTIBIOTICI SpA 25 Nov 1974 [3 Dec 1973] 55993/73 Heading C2U [Also in Divisions A5 and C3] Salts and complexes of lysozyme and of basic derivatives of lysozyme with bile acids are new. Examples 1 to 11 disclose the preparation of lysozyme desoxycholate, guanidyl - lysozyme desoxycholate, methyl-lysozyme desoxycholate, methyl guanidyl-lysozyme desoxycholate, lysozyme dehydrocholate, guanidyl-lysozyme dehydrocholate and lysozyme taurocholate by conventional methods utilizing lysozyme or the lysozyme derivative as the free base or the hydrochloride and the bile acid as the free acid or its sodium salt. Examples 12 and 13 disclose formulations of tablets for the alleviation and treatment of viral infections in human beings, containing lysozyme desoxycholate and other conventional adjuvants. Alkylamidino-lysozyme and glycocholic acid are also mentioned.
