Abstract

1431696 Vane pumps ALFRED TEVES GmbH 17 April 1973 [21 April 1972 11 April 1973] 18506/73 Heading F1F A dual abutment vane-type pump comprises discharge control means including a piston 13 located in the bore 10 of the shaft 4 and a throttling duct 38 for the discharge fluid, the highpressure side 28a of the throttling duct 38 communicating with a blind bore 22 of piston 13 via recess 21 and ducts 29, 20, 30, and the low-pressure side 19 of the throttling duct 38 communicating with the other side of piston 13 via ducts 32, 18, so that if the differential pressure across the piston 13 exceeds a predetermined value then the piston 13 moves against its spring 12 to uncover a duct 23 in shaft 4 via which discharge fluid is by-passed back to the inlet side 24, the bore 10 of shaft 4 being further provided with a pressure relief valve 14 with a spring-biased ball 33 which is subject to the low-pressure side of the throttling duct 38 and relieves pressure to the inlet side via a duct 34.
