Abstract

1430797 Sawtooth deflection currentgenerators INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ELECTRIC CORP 16 March 1973 [21 March 1972] 12912/73 Heading H3T [Also in Division H2] In a television horizontal deflector current generator of the type comprising a driver portion including a commutatable switch and having a switch 5 for effecting commutation, the power is supplied via a storage inductor 2 and control of the power, e.g. to stabilize the deflection with changes with supply voltage or with the drain from an associated E.H.T. supply, is effected by a controllable inductor 3 connected in parallel with a rectifier. In operation the storage inductor and a commutating capacitor 6 oscillate and during one part of the cycle energy is returned to the supply. The controllable inductor is effective during this latter part. A capacitor 8 sets the D.C. level of operation of the diode.
