Abstract

1430527 Latches TRILUX-LENZE KG 26 April 1974 [27 April 1973] 18280/74 Heading E2A [Also in Division F4] Spring clips 3 are secured adjacent the interior wall of a lamp housing 1 for retaining a cover or bowl (5) which closes the lower end of the housing, the interior wall being fitted with a U-shaped channel member 2 the upper flange 21 of which is provided with spaced gaps 25 for holding the clips. Each clip is made from sheet metal bent to a generally U-shaped configuration, the longer leg 31 having a bowl-retaining detent 36 and the shorter leg 32 increasing in width towards its free end to engage in slots 26 formed in the opposite side walls of the gap 25. The leg 32 terminates in side wings 34 which project underneath the flange 21 whilst the adjacent portions of the leg immediately above the wings are slit and bent outwardly to form tangs 35 which engage the upper surface of the flange 21 to secure the clip in position. In a modification, Figures 10-15 (not shown) the clips are made from spring wire.
