1430143 Straightening VEREINIGTE OSTERREICHISCHE EISEN-UND STAHLWERKE-ALPINE MONTAN AG 19 April 1973 [24 April 1972] 18969/73 Heading B3E Clad metal plate is straightened in a roller straightening machine, the outer surface of the cladding layer being covered during straightening with a protective layer of elastically- or plastically-deformable material. An additional covering sheet may be interposed between the protective layer and the straightening rollers. The protective layer may be corrugated cardboard, rubber mats, plastics sprayed on and stripped off after straightening.
