Abstract

1429129 Launching tube WEGMANN & CO 20 March 1974 [21 March 1973] 12359/74 Heading F3C A launching tube for a self-propelled missile has a slot 1 formed therein to receive a cam 5 of the missile (not shown) a side 6 of the slot 1 having a leaf spring 9 secured thereto which, when the missile is mounted in the launching tube, urges the cam 5 against a side 4 of the slot. The leaf spring 9 has one end retained by a pin or screw 12 and the other end is retained within a recess in a member 11. A recess 7 is provided in a segment 3 of the tube and a spring 8 is mounted therein so as to reinforce the leaf spring 7. The latter may be coated with a synthetic plastics material or may be made of synthetic plastics material.
