1428800 Fixing toner images XEROX CORP 4 May 1973 [5 May 1972] 21263/73 Heading G2H [Also in Division F4] A heat-fixing apparatus for powder toner images comprises at least one flash lamp 122, positioned in a cylindrical glass tube 123, transverse to the path of travel of copy material bearing images to be fixed, and cooled by air passed through the tube. Return ducts 181 allow the air to recirculate, apart from a small amount which pressurizes housing 101.
