1428418 Clamps GOTAVERKENS ANGTEKNISKA AB (GOTAVERKEN HEAT ENG CO Ltd) 31 May 1973 [19 June 1972] 25917/73 Heading E2B [Also in Division F4] A furnace has side walls comprising tube membranes formed by tubes 10 and fins interconnected by welding, the faces of the membranes at the furnace interior being covered by blocks 11 of fire resistant material forced towards the tubes by wedges 12. At each corner of the furnace, there is a tube 15 which does not form part of the tube membranes but is connected thereto by clamping means comprising clamps 13 arranged externally of the walls, the clamps extending at least over the outermost tubes in the adjacent tube membranes. The furnace shown belongs to a waste liquor combustion plant.
