142,830. Utard, M., (Representative of Utard, J. A.). Sept. 26, 1913, [Convention date]. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Moulding-machines.-The sand in a moulding- machine is compressed first by movement of a plate 41 relatively to its cross-beam 38 and then of the plate and beam together. The first movement is effected by links 45 and cranks 44 on a shaft 43 operated by a hand-lever 42, and the second by links 49, eccentrics 50, shaft 34, and hand-lever 31. The beam 38 is carried by rods 36 which slide in sleeves 35 loose on the shaft 34 so that it can be swung aside during filling and removal. Specification 12304/15 is referred to.
