Abstract

1428159 Electric component assemblies DANFOSS AS 14 Nov 1973 [14 Nov 1972] 52886/73 Heading H1R An electrical component unit 5 has stays 11 pivotably secured to the bottom thereof and in the operating position of unit 5 lying against the bottom of casing 1, the stays taking up the splayed position shown so as to support unit 5 on a pair of opposite ledges 8 in the casing walls when it is withdrawn for inspection &c. Preferably the stays are spring-biased into the splayed position and rails 14 are provided so that the free ends 13 of the stays can be guided against the spring bias on reinsertion of unit 5 into the casing. As shown unit 5 comprises a lower power part 6 which in use is oil-immersed and an upper control part 7 which in use rests on ledges 8. The casing wall may have heatdissipating ribs 9. The control part 7 may have a pivotable cover which in the closed position holds plug-in printed circuit cards in place (Fig. 3, not shown) and which may include a handle portion for raising unit 5. An opening in the upper part of casing 1 through which a multiple contact plug is passed is closed by a plate with cable entry bushes.
