Abstract

1427938 Cooling liquids A J PHILLIPS 24 Jan 1974 [3 July 1973] 31623/73 Headings F4H and F4S A vessel for storing beverages, e.g. beer or wine, comprises a container B which is preferably formed of glass or china and which has at least its lower portion surrounded by a cooling tube having an inlet O and outlet P which may be connected to a refrigeration unit. The container and cooling tube are surrounded by an insulating jacket A which is formed of foamed polyurethane which may be, as shown, in the shape of a barrel. The container is provided with an outlet tap H and with a threaded neck and cap J. A thermostat may be provided adjacent to the base of the container for controlling the flow of cooling fluid.
