1427887 Peroxydicarbonates AKZO NV 31 Jan 1974 [9 March 1973] 04592/74 Heading C2C The invention comprises a peroxydicarbonate of the formula wherein R represents an alkyl group having 1-5 C-atoms, a halogen atom or a cyano group and n= 1 or 2 and a process for the preparation thereof which comprises reacting a chloroformate of the general formula with an excess of hydrogen peroxide. The chloroformate is prepared by reacting an appropriately substituted benzyl alcohol with phosgene in a dry solvent.
