1427813 Switching circuits; amplitude modulation PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd 23 May 1973 [26 May 1972] 24617/73 Headings H3T H3R An electronic switch comprises a transistor 2, a control circuit 6 including an auxiliary switch 8 for generating blocking and release voltages for the transistor, a switching voltage circuit 17 including a resistor 20 shunted by a capacitor 19 for applying a switch voltage along lead 18 to respectively release or block a series connection of a capacitor 21 and a biased switching diode 22 shunting the transistor when the transistor itself is switched off or on. The switch transistor 2 serves to supply high frequency input signals at 11 to a load 1 under the control of the auxiliary switch 8 which allows the whole or only a part of supply voltage 14 to be applied along lead 7. For providing isolation to a load 1 in the switched off state of transistor 2, a ladder network 29 comprising shunt by-pass networks 21-22, 30-33 are provided so that any signals coupled via the parasitic capacitances of transistor 2 are shunted to earth. Diodes 22, 32, 33 are suitably biased from source 14 so that when transistor 2 is on the by-pass networks are turned off by a switching voltage on lead 18 formed by emitter current flow through resistor 20.
