Abstract

1427740 Vehicle seats NIMBUS CONVERSIONS Ltd 14 Dec 1972 57686/72 Heading A4J The backrest frame 5 of a vehicle seat is rearwardly foldable about its pivotal connection 9 with a seat frame 2 to form a reclining surface, the lower ends of extensions 8 on the backrest frame engaging with extensions 29 of rear links 28 which support the seat frame on the vehicle floor such that rearward folding of the backrest is accompanied by upward movement of the seat frame. A lever 12 pivotally connected to the seat frame engages with the lower ends of the extensions 8 to hold the backrest in its upright position. A catch 30 on the lever 12 engages with a pin 31 on floor mounted slides 22 to hold the seat frame in the normal sitting position.
