Abstract

1427161 Bearings MORGARDSHAMMAR AB 5 Feb 1973 [4 Feb 1972] 5595/73 Heading F2A A roller assembly comprises a roller holder 13, an axle 15 mounted in the holder, a roller 14 journalled on the axle by a radial bearing 17, roller locating members 21 for limiting axial movement of the roller secured to the holder one adjacent each axial end face of the roller, inserts 16 arranged in the members 21, which inserts are fixed against rotation relative to the members but are movable axially, and means 22 for enabling a lubricant to flow radially inbetween the inserts and the roller end faces whereby the inserts adopt positions parallel to the said end faces. The inserts are mounted in non-circular apertures to prevent rotation. Packing pieces 18 may be placed between the inserts and the holder. The roller locating members may comprise two plates welded to the holder, or they may be constituted by the parallel limbs of a U-shaped plate secured to the holder by means of screws.
