Abstract

1426844 Feeding sheets FUJI XEROX CO Ltd 22 March 1974 [26 March 1973] 12947/74 Heading B8R Sheets are fed in succession from the top of pivot-mounted pile tray 11 by co-ordinated action of movable belt feeder 14, retractable stop 23, movable feeding roller 22 and axially fixed roller 21, variously actuated by cams 30, 40. Preferably the belt feeder 14 rotates in a sheet-feeding direction to feed the top sheet from the pile, then rotates oppositely before disengaging from the pile to return any sheets that have been partially displaced from the pile. The sheets may be fed to a transfer position of an electrophotographic copier and there receive toner images from a photo-conductive drum.
