Abstract

1426360 Papermaking apparatus; corrugating paper ELDA AG 7 June 1973 [8 June 1972] 27257/73 Headings D1S and D2A Apparatus for corrugating cardboard sheets 2, e.g. fed from a cylinder machine (not shown) while still wet by a transverse delivery 5, roller train 3 and idler rollers 6, comprises a tunnel drier 10 and intermeshing conveyor and moulding belts 8, 9, each belt comprising a series of interconnected rollers preferably driven by chains (not shown), the conveyor belt 8 forming corrugations in the sheets upstream of the drier 10 and the sheets being fed to the apparatus such that the corrugations run in the main fibre direction of the sheets. The speed of the sheets between the belts 8, 9 is preferably lower than the speed at which the sheets are fed to the corrugating apparatus.
