Abstract

1425549 Drying P O FINNILA 26 March 1974 [26 March 1973] 13464/74 Heading F4G A rotatable cylinder for heating with a condensable medium comprises a cylindrical mantle 1 closed at each end by a wall means for introducing the condensable medium and an outlet tube 2 having an inlet in close proximity to the inner surface of the mantle for withdrawing condensate therefrom and an external outlet and secondary tube 4 attached to the outlet tube and parallel therewith one end portion of the secondary tube extending outside the outlet tube into the cylinder, the other end portion extending to the inlet of the outlet tube. A sleeve 7 inside the outlet tube 2 has a closed end surrounding one end of the secondary tube to deflect the flow of condensable medium through 180 degrees. The end of the secondary tube may be adjustably positioned in the sleeve by clamping members 14. A valve 11 in the secondary tube operated by a rod 13 connected to an external lever 12 regulates-the flow therethrough.
