Abstract
1424602 Quinoxaline derivatives E I DU PONT DE NEMOURS & CO 1 Aug 1973 [1 Aug 1972 4 June 1973] 36500/73 Heading C2C Novel quinoxaline derivatives of the formula wherein R 1 is (C 1 -C 4 ) alkyl, (C 3 -C 6 ) cycloalkyl, (C 2 -C 4 ) alkenyl, ethynyl, (C 2 -C 3 ) alkoxyalkyl, (C 1 -C 2 ) chloro- or bromoalkyl or (C 2 -C 3 ) cyanoalkyl, and R 2 is hydrogen, chlorine, bromine or fluorine, are prepared by acylating a compound of the formula with an anhydride of the formula R 1 COOOCR 1 or an acyl chloride of the formula R 1 CCl in the presence of an acid acceptor. The reaction is preferably carried out in an inert solvent at a temperature of from 15 to 35 C. The novel compounds possess fungicidal properties.
